Gourmet Rhapsody. Muriel Barbery. Dazzling. Reading her for the first time left me wanting more.

The Red and the Black. Stendhal. A reread of a classic that once, on the back of adolescence, was one of my favourites.

Women and Human Development. Martha C. Nussbaum. I am a regular Nussbaum reader. A good essay in which she works constantly to build ideas out of an empirical and local diversity that is genuinely a challenge to organise.

Una historia ridícula. Luis Landero. A splendid novel that turns the classic Russian literature of tormented individuals into a feast of cynicism, mockery and reverie.

Thinking in Systems. Donella H. Meadows. An interesting approach to systems thinking. It keeps the notion of a mess from reading as purely negative.
